Hi all! Just wanted to let you know that I've teamed up with SETA (the
animal rights group on campus) to raise money for the Jane Goodall
Institute. We've got a table set up in Shriver M,W,F from 9-4. The money
goes to the institute which: helps inform local villagers in Gombe
(Africa) find new ways of making a living outside of the bushmeat trade
which results in the mother chimps being killed and the infant chimps
orphaned, it provides protected sanctuaries for the endangered chimps in
the area, it spreads the organization Roots & Shoots which is a program
designed to educate children about the importance of taking care of the
environment and becoming involved in their community, and helps come up
with new methods of testing other than using the chimps. Every ounce of
support is helpful! We had a girl come by this morning and all she had to
donate was a penny! We gladly accepted it! :-) If you've got the time and
can spare a few bucks we'd appreciate it. It's all going towards a really
