My goal in teaching is to share with students that nature is a partner in our lives. Let's take the time and make the effort to listen.

Lecture, general science, survey course. On campus in Fall term (occasionally summer) Seminar / lecture course taught with Dr. Hays Cummins. On campus in Spring term. Field course in Bahamas and Florida. Summers. Reefs, lagoons, beaches, mangroves, and other ecosystems.
Distance learning , lecture, general science survey course.Inquiry-based assignments use internet and computer programs. Lecture survey course. On campus, Fall term. Frequent computer and web-based inquiry assignments. Field course in Caribbean. Summers. Ecology of corals, fish, algae, marine invertebrates. SCUBA required.
